I figured since I liked some of the story lines and spins on the Marvel What If. . ? series vol.1, 2 and one shots to try something of my own. So I created the Weapon X-Men. The comic is styled similar to the regular format of the X-Men, uncanny 1st issue, except the idea is what if? the X-Men were a group founded and funded by the Weapon X program? So I replaced Cyclops as team leader with Deadpool, Ice man with wolverine, Jean Grey with Copycat, Beast with sabertooth, and Angel with sauron, all members of the Weapon X project at some point in time, hence Weapon X-Men. I also added in Magneto from the original book as the villian to sorta balance things out and tried to keep to the same layout from the original book with a different composition and twist.
Awsome pic, though I must say that Deadpool and Sauron look like they were colored differently than the rest of them, they look sharper..or something, if that helps at all. keep up the good work!

thanx for the coment, dunno about the color, each character was drawn and colored seperate, so i sometime approach each differently depending on what it is, kinda mixes up the scale and variation to composition, more or less i don't stay constrained to a specific format, always trying new things or something different
response and criticism is greatly appreciated

I would totally buy this comic. Good job on the cover design. It reminds me of the first X-Men issue, was that an inspiration for you when you drew this?
from the original uncanny x-men #1 yeah i just scanned a reprint issue i had and worked from there, im not to thrilled with sabertooth, sauron, or copycat, i think i have it saved to multiple layers i could just give u a blk and white line art version and u could color it or replace some of the characters with ur own stuff if ur interested, always like to see some criticism of my stuff or a different approach which i hadnt thought of

Sorry, I should of read the description before I asked the “inspiration” question. Thanks about Batman. Yeah I wouldn't mind taking a crack at some color work if you want to send it to me. Here's my email: Vulture_34@hotmail.com
I guess the only criticism I will make is that you should pay attention to where the characters are looking. Because if Magneto is in the foreground and the heroes are attacking him, they should have their attention on magneto’s face so it seems as though they are moving in his direction. But it’s mainly with Wolverine and Sauron. Wolverine is looking too far downward and Sauron is looking too far to the left. But, y’know that’s just a minor thing. Overall it looks great.
i gotcha, kinda just go with poses i notice in the books to reference, i havent gotten to the point of perfecting the perspectives and the full human figure on my own, takes some practice til id be able to recognize minor or slight perspective problems, it took this long to get a handle on the size and proportions of the figures to a correct point, right now im trying to work on digital colorand getting better quality and detail from faces especially women along with hands. so its essentially a work in progress
